I am beyond excited to present this series of neutral-toned paintings, especially those mounted to woodblocks. This work absolutely poured out of me.
Instead of my usual connection to nature, I have been contemplating the interconnectedness of myself and of all people as I’m sure so many of you have been as well. This thought became the main theme that I may carry with me for some time to come.
While we may pass through the same spaces at different moments we can still be connected by the space. When individuals gather they remain singular, but our attempts to connect can offer us beauty and joy we cannot easily achieve on our own. We may struggle to honor each other as individuals while also seeking shared joy, but we must try.
