Dark Wash started as I began to paint again months after my second baby arrived. Exhausted most of the time, my indigo paints called me back to my place of peace and serenity.
As the world in 2020 began to twist into its present uncertain state my paintings went through stages of lightness and of deep heaviness, often contrasting one another within the same artwork. I was pulled to explore a new surface, canvas, which is stronger and more resilient than paper—just as so many of us have found a new strength in this strange phase of life. This is my largest and most diverse collection to date.
Whatever the future holds, I hope you find peace, joy and a calm place to reflect in this work.
